In 2012, the Buffalo Bill Historical Center in Cody, Wyoming, underwent a renovation and redesign to better tell the story of William F. Cody, once the most famous entertainer in the world. Second Story created two very different experiences for the occasion. A short animated video installed at the museum tells the story of Cody’s introduction to the stage and his rapid rise to fame and fortune. An interactive online experience takes the visitor on a journey through Cody’s entire life, from Pony Express rider to scout to international superstar. The experience maximizes “responsive” design and automatically calibrates the layout to suit multiple platforms, making the stories equally accessible on a tablet, mobile device or desktop browser.
