Project Overview

Children’s Museum Interactive

A gleefully furry cast introduces children to a world of innovative ideas where surprises await behind every door.

A reimagining of the experience we created for adult visitors to Sesame Workshop’s headquarters, this entertaining interactive at the National Children’s Museum was designed with little ones in mind. Kids can get up close and personal with their favorite Sesame Street characters, learn to say “Hello” in different languages, and discover clothing, food, and people from around the world.

The interface, reminiscent of a colorful board game, presents a compelling landscape of triggerable stories. Content “pockets” reveal details about the beloved Muppets, while hidden animations reward the curious visitor.

The table experience from Sesame Workshop’s lobby was reconfigured for a wall-mounted installation. Side-by-side Samsung SUR40 interactive tables for Microsoft Surface allow multiple users to enjoy the experience simultaneously.
