Foundations of American Freedom
Visitors can magnify, transcribe, and come to understand the significance of the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution, and the Bill of Rights on three large touch screens.
The nation’s three founding documents are presented at near life-size in these three installations that give visitors enhanced controls for reading, examining, and studying them. Every passage in all three documents is transcribed, and many of the more important elements in each document can be selected by visitors to gain interpretive insight into the meaning of the words.
