A transportable miniature golf hole blends physical putting with playful, projected electronic courses.
Developed for a city-wide design firm competition, this installation let visitors select from a menu of three different holes, then putt a golf ball mounted on a pressure-sensitive joystick. The force and direction of the putt sent the electronic golf balls through the course and calculated a score. To keep the swing direction consistent with the course, a foot-controlled button allowed visitors to rotate the course in any direction.
