Project Overview

Interview Stations

This gallery of interactives creates a treasury of first-person accounts of Native medicine in action.

Many years in the making, this tapestry of oral histories provides an unprecedented resource to those interested in Native health and healing. The core of the content is spread across five touchscreen kiosks, which collects and displays over 300 videos of Native peoples providing insight about traditional medicine. The 55-inch interactive monitors stand like pillars of knowledge in the space, capturing the insights of elders and academics, community leaders and doctors. Intuitive navigation makes discovering this chorus of native voices accessible for all ages.

An admin tool puts the power of content management into the hands of curators, who are able to update the kiosk with new videos as desired, keeping the information current and salient.
