Project Overview

Venice Dream Team

Web audiences can explore animated galleries of young photographers’ work and learn about the kinetic, creative process that defines this unique organization.

A mentor named Bingwa brings together kids and cameras to create the Venice Dream Team. Their story, featured on Kodak.com, reveals a diverse group of young photographers whose work takes them to places they never thought possible. Kids as young as seven join the team, and they usually stay into their early teens. They are always in motion: traveling, taking pictures, printing and exhibiting the photographs, selling them—and using the money to travel again. The group has traveled the world photographing events and celebrities including President Bill Clinton and Shaquille O’Neal. The site is built around a unique circular architecture that reflects the structure of the Venice Dream Team experience. The hub or center of the site, A Mentor Named Bingwa, profiles the man who keeps the team in motion. Users can then jump into the cycle and follow the team through each step of their creative process. The cyclical navigation tool directly reflects that process as kids continually join and leave the group.
