With this online digital archive, The Cold War International History Project gives scholars and enthusiasts access to a treasure trove of historical documents.
Long, complex, and contentious among historians, the Cold War is one of history’s most fascinating and misunderstood conflicts. The Cold War International History Project (CWIHP) aims to make historical documents pertaining to it readily available, helping scholars and other interested parties to better understand its many facets. Second Story collaborated with the CWIHP to update the Wilson Center Digital Archive, their online collection, to include teaching materials, timelines, and access to thousands of primary sources.
The flexible website enables everyone, from casual historian to avid researcher, to learn about the Cold War. Visitors can browse the archive or perform detailed searches using a number of different filters including date, location, subject, theme, and author. A custom content management system empowers CWIHP specialists to easily add new documents as they become available.
