World War I Battle Maps
Two animated map presentations break down the complex military strategies and sequences of every major battle of World War I.
Serving individuals as well as clustered groups, visitors can select specific battles plotted on a timeline where they see the battles play out, battle lines shift, territory is gained and lost, and the nature of prolonged trench warfare comes to life through the movement of the map illustrations. These movements, paired with the narration of the course of events, illustrate the significance of the selected battles in the war as a whole.
